Two internet service providers (ISPs) you should consider are , which is one of the fastest internet providers, and CenturyLink, which is one of the cheapest internet providers. Check out our top 5 internet providers for more recommendations.

Pros
- Wide availability
- Download speeds up to 5,000 Mbps
Cons
- Limited availability for fastest speeds
AT&T offers fiber and DSL-hybrid internet. With recent advances in its fiber network, it now offers speeds up to 5,000 Mbps in select areas.
If you’re cruising at speeds that fast, though, you might want to consider switching over to a more affordable live TV streaming service, rather than old-school satellite internet.

Pros
- Fiber speeds up to 940 Mbps (download and upload)
- Internet and phone service available
- No contracts
- Wider availability
Cons
- Disappointing customer service compared to DIRECTV
CenturyLink has three fiber plans. The fastest, CenturyLink Fiber Gigabit, costs $75 a month and has download and upload speeds up to 940 Mbps. This is one of the cheapest fiber plans out there.
On the DSL side, CenturyLink charges $55 per month for up to 100 Mbps. That’s a fairly average price for internet, and 100 Mbps is a fast enough download speed for most families.
Looking to sign up for DIRECTV?
DIRECTV is available nationwide as long as a satellite dish is compatible with your home or business. If dealing with bulky TV equipment is not your thing, you can also check out DIRECTV STREAM for a straightforward streaming experience.
Final take
Both and CenturyLink are good internet options for DIRECTV, but you may have other standalone options in your area. Enter your zip code below to check all your options.
DIRECTV internet providers FAQ
Internet providers don’t offer discounts when you get DIRECTV, so your internet costs will be the same as usual. Internet costs vary, but most plans average around $50 a month.
No, you can’t get internet service through DIRECTV because it’s strictly a satellite TV service. If you’re looking to get an internet plan along with DIRECTV service, we recommend checking out internet plans from and CenturyLink.
Verizon’s Fios 1 Gig + The Most Fios TV gives you fiber speeds (up to 940 Mbps download, up to 880 Mbps upload) and 425+ channels for $218.99 per month. As we keep saying, fiber is the fastest and most reliable internet connection. And 425+ channels is a lot.
DIRECTV doesn’t sell its own internet service, but you can pair its TV packages with internet service through and CenturyLink.
